Examples of projects

Carriage Wine Bar, Knaresborough, North Yorkshire. Beneficial new use for historic buildings threatened by subsidence into a railway cutting. 

  Old Rectory, Cossington, Leicestershire. Design and supervision of two award-winning schemes for the restoration of the painted study of 1535-45 and the parlour wing of 1566.

Ackworth Old Hall, West Yorkshire .  Design and implementation of a comprehensive scheme for the restoration of a late 17th-century house, including reproofing, masonry and timber repairs, grouting, architectural detailing and repairs to leaded lights.

  Shalamar Gardens, Lahore, Pakistan.  Preparation of project proposals for the restoration of the gardens built by the Moghul Emperor Shah Jehan in 1642 (for UNESCO).

Sundari Chowk, Patan Palace, Nepal. Revision of the conservation proposal for the restoration  of a palace courtyard built in 1627, in advance of funding by an international donor (for UNESCO).

Dechenphug Temple, Bhutan. Design for the restoration of the temple housing the main protective deity of Bhutan, for UNESCO and the Royal Government of Bhutan (funded by the Danish Government).

Drugyel Dzong, Bhutan.  Preparation of a proposal and budget for the sustainable conservation ‘as found’ of the ruins of the castle built in 1647 to defend Bhutan against invasion from Tibet, the timber elements of which were destroyed by fire in 1951.  For UNESCO and the Royal Government of Bhutan .
